About Us
Andrew is the visionary founder of Peak Travel (formerly Allawah), bringing years of experience in outdoor leadership and student adventure programs to the world of active travel. He originally established Allawah — meaning “Camp Here” — as a response to his work as Operations Manager for the Melbourne University International Student Outdoors Program (later known as the Melbourne University Outdoors Program), where he developed and led wilderness experiences designed to build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection with Australia’s remarkable landscapes.
Under Andrew’s leadership, Peak Travel has evolved into a specialist provider of fully guided adventure trips and training activities across Australia, with a strong emphasis on immersive and educational experiences tailored especially for university students. His commitment to safe, fun, and skill-building travel has shaped Peak Travel’s ethos — turning outdoor exploration into lifelong memories and personal growth opportunities.

They range from one-day through to 14-day adventures around some of the remotest parts of Australia. Our trips and adventure activities cater to all levels of experience and we specialise in giving you the skills and ability to participate, enjoy and maximise the experience.
Our trips have a mix of camping and hostel-style accommodation - some of them even offer the amazing experience of sleeping outdoors under the stars.
